WIP list

Of stuff I'm actually working on (i.e., "have touched in the last week"). Yell at me! Make me WRITE MOAR.

FIC

- Near-centric post-one-shot story with ghosty!snarky!Mello and a serial killer targeting detectives. Rester and Gevanni are being really cute and protective, and Halle is kind of stoically pining. We know how I feel about that... :-) The start and asking for halp are here now.

- Big Exit (Mello/Matt). Damn you, HTR13, damn you. You've gone and Jossed my Matt-hunting-for-Mello scene. And it was cute.

- How to Shoot Somebody Who Outdrew You (or: Yay, PWP!). Really just needs connecting of the stuff I wrote in pieces. I am so lazy. :-(

- Special Topics in Calamity Physics. The threesome!fic lives!

- Dulce et Decorum Est. B is about to bring the ca-ray-zeh.

- Naomi x L AU craziness in which she joins the Kira investigation.

- Near/girl!Mello, WTF. Is obviously called "Until the End of the World."

ORIGINAL

- The Coed, The Princes, The Magician, and His Lover. I'm still trying to get past the fact that my favorite character isn't introduced until about 1/3 of the way through. Inept-and-well-aware-of-it, famous, super-hot, potty-mouthed magician FTW, guys. He kinda looks like *points to post icon*.

Perhaps you could have some sort of prologue that introduces him at the very beginning. Or, you could have him puttering around in the background, casually mentioned but never named. Major characters not introduced until much later? Your Freshman Comp teacher would be appalled!

Also, I want to see pure Aristotelian unities on this one! Sure, this might be a bit limiting, but I foresee a great British farce with lots of door openings and closings.

I'm trying to avoid starting with the two main characters coming to my favorite with their problem and having to do a massive infodump about everything that has happened to them before they need him. I do namedrop him early on.

Ooh, the "his lover" character has a big ol' house that would be perfect for madcap chases.
