Apparently it's that time of my emotional cycle when I feel sorry for myself for not having a significant other. This time I'm heeding my experiences, though, and I'm not going to try to do anything about it. It never does any good, and I just end up pissier and sadder.

Hell, I'm a bleeding-heart liberal stuck in the bible belt, and I work at home. If you told me my dating prospects were "iffy," I'd be excited they had improved from "grim."

I realize Match.com - or whichever one you did - was frightening, but what about exploring the sites for cool people that also include personals? E.G. The Onion, Television Without Pity. Those have always intrigued me.

It's a distraction until you get thyself out of the Bible belt, at any rate ...
