The tamales are assembled. I think I dirtied every cooking implement in the kitchen in the process. :-) They aren't steamed yet, but all the pieces are yummy.
After I finished cooking, I went out on the back porch with a cigarette and a raspberry hard cider and said to myself This is the life.
