He doesn't see it as his opinion, he sees it as God's will. The scariest part is that he seems to have missed the whole part of the consitution wherein someone's idea of God's will is not supposed to be law, either. Because someone who claims that their will must be done because it is God's will is called a religious dictator, and that is exactly what Georgie wants to be.
