darklunaI watched Treasure Planet last night, and the first time they took off in the RLS (hee hee) Legacy, I just about hyperventilated from wanting a spacefaring frigate of my very very own.
I need to fire up Photoshop and make me a "Heroine Addict" icon featuring Captain Amelia. She kicked arse! Animated Victorian high-tech is fast becoming my favorite mini-genre. I almost said steampunk, but it seems slightly the wrong term for this, Howl's Moving Castle, and Fullmetal Alchemist. Though I guess that one could trace the roots of all three back to The Difference Engine if one looked hard enough, so maybe it is the right term.
