I suspect that one of the details of 9/11 that will often be hard to transmit is that all flights were grounded afterwards. It's one of those things I don't think you can really picture just by reading it. Living in Chicago at the time, there are always planes in the air heading to O'Hare. The days after 9/11 were eerily quiet in a way that is hard to explain.
