Things I may never write
Aug. 21st, 2004 01:45 pmAnd other writerly things.
Miss Kiwi's entry made me think of how I deplore trendy themes in romances, and how nearly all of them have been trendy for something like ten years. Like babies and cowboys. And people getting married before they've properly fallen in love. I made up The Barefoot Beltane Bride as an example of the ONLY bride romance I might ever want to read or write. No one's written it yet. Hmm.
My very favorite title of a romance work in progress is *deep breath* The Trouble with Mr. Franglopanini. Alas, they will make me change that name long before publication, assuming it ever gets finished, accepted, and published. The Trouble with Mr. Santorini just doesn't have the same ring to it. Franglopanini. Say it! It's fun!
I was trying really hard to work on the post-apocalyptic fairy tale yesterday, and I did get some done, but when I got home and tried to keep writing, fanfic came out. D'OH. Marauders-era stuff. I may post it someday.
I am househunting in condo-land, and I may well end up near my evil twin or
zinnea.
I should probably make sure my job will keep going after October before I buy anything. (Pretty sure it will. They lurve me, yay!)
