Sep. 20th, 2004 01:40 pmYesterday was perfect; today is insane.
Yesterday I went to Gasworks to write, and it was a glorious day. There was a band playing by the picnic area, presumably as part of the Fremont Oktoberfest. It was just chilly enough that I needed a jacket, and the sky was the deep big blue you only get in the fall, and swelling with clouds that turned all violet and pink in the sunset. There was even a little smudge of rainbow in one cloudbank. And my characters were actually behaving! Autumn always feels like a time of new beginnings for me, and it was the best day for that feeling.
Today I am all rushed, trying to get a book ready to go to print, and my place has somehow become exponentially filthier overnight, and gah. Must find time to work out at some point; I was horribly evil over the weekend and gave in to the post-goth-club breakfast sandwich craving. Nothing tastes as good at a rainy, cold 3 AM as egg and cheese on sourdough. Lo, I am a Bad Vegan.
