Oct. 23rd, 2004 11:07 amLoved Lee Rude & the Trainwrecks. Kelly was wearing a David Ortiz jersey! This was just about the highlight of the show for me. I told him I'd have to call him Papi from now on. Heehee. Was there with the lovely
zinnea and the also-lovely
girlpirate. Zee and I went off to the Hurricane afterward, and for some reason it was full of cute little boys. Little like early 20s. Too young, but purty to look at. :)
I found my evening gloves, yay! I'd been looking since I started assembling my costume, and was starting to fear I'd gotten rid of them. I'm a person who keeps almost everything, including things I'm never going to wear again, and you'd think that as an occasional gothgirl I wouldn't have parted with something as useful as elbow-length black gloves. But I never know with me.
I think I've finally internalized my knowledge that not every urge I have should be acted on. I had a minorly disturbing one that I was prepared to act on and didn't, and now it's gone, so thank goodness I didn't do anything about it. One urge I am going to act on is the urge to reread Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. How do I not own these books? And where are my damn Cerebus phone books? I need them. I'm tired of people looking at me like I'm nuts when I say "Me altso" and laugh like a loon.
Anya got dewormed, and euw. All the kittens had had worm-killing medicine before, but I had never actually seen the evidence of it working. Now I'm all paranoid that it didn't get all of them, or that she'll be sick. But she's still running around like a maniac, so I think she's OK.
