Going out all day tomorow to pound the pavement for John 'n' John, because if I don't do something I'll spend the entire day curled up in the fetal position, whimpering.

I have a sticker that says "I'm pro-cupcake, and I vote!" :-)

I am much encouraged by the Packers' win over the Redskins. Since 1936, the incumbent party's fortunes have followed those of the 'skins in their last home game before the election. Even in 2000.

(I'm not even going to yell in big letters Vote! Vote for Kerry, dammit! because I figure anyone who reads this already knows how important it is to vote and is already inclined to go for the good guys.)

From the This Shocks No One department: Ohio Republicans trying to play dirty. On CNN they said the Republicans got their list of voters to challenge by sending mailings to some 30,000 registered Democrats and seeing which came back undeliverable. That's just low and nasty.

Among my coworkers, folks prefer Kerry overwhelmingly, which is also not a shock, as he generally leads by double digits among the college-educated, and we're all geeks.

My options for tomorrow are as follows:
[ ] After canvassing, go home and cry from sheer nerves
[ ] Go to Chop Suey and whack the Bush pinata
[ ] Find a cute fellow canvasser whose hand to hold while the results come in

The fates willing, that third one will be the one I end up with. :-)
