Yesterday as I was walking toward work I heard bagpipes and had a flashback to college, but then I realized that I had never actually heard a wandering piper at school; that's from Tam Lin. We had a rooftop flautist, but I knew who he was and thus was not intrigued by the mystery of music floating to me from an unknown source.

I often think of an anecdote to tell people and realize just in time that it happened not only to someone else, but to someone fictional.

Despite the whole Over It All-ness of me, I think the first ten seconds of Ledbetter are still hardwired to some sort of Abject Longing switch in my brain. The song starts, and I go Ohgodmusthave... um, wait, what?
