Jun. 15th, 2005 03:41 pmI want a "Bite Me" button in dialog boxes. It doesn't have to do anything; just clicking it would make me feel better. Especially if the dialog says something like "FrameMaker has encountered an error and is completely hosed, and even though you just saved, your file will now revert to three saves ago for no apparent reason!"
I'd use something like that the most, though, in the little popup that says, perkily, "Your network access has been insanely slow for the last ten minutes because your antivirus software was stealth-downloading an update that you can't cancel and can't schedule. What would you like to do now?" "Continue what I was doing" isn't good enough for me. "I want you to shut and stop being my friend" is what I want to click on.
Is there an accepted euphemism yet for "Calling in sick to take delivery of book 6" to use in oh...about a month? (She says as if she doesn't know to the hour.) Muggle flu? ETA: dummy ellie, it comes out on a Saturday. BOOS for me not being able to calculate what day of the week a date falls on but YEYS for a weekend to read it!
