Delurking for a moment

Music rec: Guster. They're like Poi Dog Pondering x the Wrens + a pinch of Eddie From Ohio. I downloaded Parachute from emusic, and have been listening to it a lot.

I wrote this big long thing in my paper journal about how I realized I've been unhappy everywhere I've lived, even though I've somehow edited my Seattle memories to think I was happier than I was, but I bitched and moaned there as much as I do here, just about different things. (And I'm very grateful to the friends (*cough*like zinnea*cough*) who put up with me.)

And I thought about how my mom is really happy all the time, even though she's a fruit loop, and maybe it really is as easy as deciding to be happy. So I'm trying that.
