I talked to Ex-Hubby a couple of times during the ALCS, since it is all his fault that I care at all. He was ready to call it a day when the Sox were down two games to one. I said "Well, it looks bad, but I'm not tearing my hair and rending my garments just yet."
When they won last night, I sent him a text message to say "Ha ha, I told you it wasn't garment-rending time!"
But I didn't even think of touching my phone until the last out was recorded. Not even with a nine-run lead. No way was I going to be the one telling my nieces and nephews, "Yes, Auntie ellie once celebrated prematurely, and that's why the Indians are the only team ever to score ten runs with two outs in the ninth inning."
