She's only officially late starting today, but given that my sister's belly button went from an innie to an outie about a week ago, we all assumed they had the due date wrong. Obviously they did, just in the opposite direction from what we thought.
The family consensus is that April 1 would be a very appropriate birthday. I think if the baby does come today, one of two things will happen:
1. The Cosmic Joke: it turns out to be a boy after all. (Luckily I bought gender-neutral clothes, though I did get a girl-specific card.)
2. The "Ha Ha, I'm Funny" Joke: Brother-in-Law emerges from the birthing room saying "She's fine, but that tail's gonna have to come off."
We'll see!
