Jan. 29th, 2010 03:36 pmWow, I haven't logged in as me in a while. Took me a sec to find my username in ljlogin. XD
It's been snowing all day, and pretty determinedly for the last little while. I went outside to smoke about an hour ago and stuck my lighter into the snow on the deck railing to check the depth. When I went out just now, the little hole I'd made was gone, and the snow was about 1/2" deeper. That's, like, real snowfall!
I was out of catfud this morning, in my grand tradition of needing something or other when it's snowing. (When I lived in Boston, it snowed three feet one April 1, and ex-hubby and I were out of almost everything. We walked to the grocery store about 4 blocks away, over the Newton T stop pedestrian bridge. It was so cool! The snow had piled up to make most of a tunnel over the tracks.) I was internally mocking all the other drivers when I went out. The roads were only wet then, but everyone was doing their, "OHSHI- WHITE STUFF! FALLING FROM THE SKIES! WHAT DO WE DOOOOOO?" routine. But I wouldn't want to be out in it now. The road at the bottom of my hill is actually white.
