The post-one-shot fic has cracked 5000 words, whoo. I think I'm over my "I suxx0r, it needz moar thingz" bout of insecurity.

I was awakened twice in the wee small hours of this morning by thunder and lightning. Once, I think it was the lightning that did it, because I woke up just in time for the thunder. The next, the thunder definitely woke me. It seemed to last forever, but I was still half-asleep, and felt like I was in this weird in-between world where the dream I hadn't quite been pulled out of was still happening in at least half of my head. It was an odd feeling. Like I was two people at once.

And tonight it's supposed to snow. OK, Tennessee weather. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. What the shit is your deal?

ChefBoy wants me to fly out to CA and go to Disneyland with him in June. ???

Hee. Me too! I want to hurry up and figure out what happens, but someone is being an awfully big pain in the ass for how teeny he is.

Nah, I kid because I love. It's just hard, because this is more plot-driven than I usually go, in a genre I don't usually write, and in the POV of someone whose IQ tops mine by at least 50 points. *cries*

I just get frustrated because I have miserable chronic writer's block, and I burned myself out on NaNoWriMo.

Aw, I'm sorry to hear that. I suffer from "I don't know what happens next!"-itis, and it used to stall me out, but then I reminded myself that no one is ever going to see the first draft but me, and it helped.

NaNoWriMo has given me some good starts, but it totally short-circuits my usual process.

Have you read The Artist's Way? (Sorry if I'm being boylike and trying to fix things needlessly.)
