sunsingergirl handed me: Mello, kittehs, silly boxers, sourdough, aaaaaaaaand smoking.

1. Mello, well. I gravitated to his point of view starting with the very first DN fic I wrote. In fact, I started RPing in the first place because I wanted to givehim her a happy ending. Ha. Mel's dead, Callidus!Mello (whose awesome banner, by
sunsingergirl, is above) will probably get gnawed on by zombielike things, and Damned!Mello probably doesn't want to be happy. At least Surly is doing okay. I underestimated the glee I would take in traumatizing characters. >D

2. Kittehs! Yes, I have eight. Yes, I'm a sucker. I had three when a friend at Microsoft, where I worked at the time, had this feral kitty she was trying to find a home for. That was Sterling, and she was supposed to be the last one. Then this rescue center another co-worker volunteered at had "an emergency foster situation." I was about to start working at home. This will be great! I said to myself. Foster some kittens, pass 'em along, get some more. I'll always have kittens! *snerk* Yeah, right. I adopted all four of the first set of fosterlings. One of them was Anya; what can I say?

3. Silly boxers, ha. I have one of those recurring jokes that probably only amuses me, in that every time Blanky gets undressed in front of someone, he's got ridiculous boxers on. He's had Pac-Man ones, The Tick ones, glow-in-dark-stars, and those are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head. None of the Mellos will let themselves be goofy, so it's fun to play a character who flails. XD
4. Sourdough! A few months ago, I made my first sourdough starter. It's like having another pet! It has to be fed and cared for and kept from getting too hot. I had two, one with whole-wheat flour and one with white, and I combined them today because they were both pretty happy and bubbly. I tried to take a picture of the result, but it came out lousy. (I've got dough rising right now in preparation for another loaf.) I love baking, and making bread is very satisfying, especially when you know it started out as flour-and-water paste, and you did all the steps in between that and nummy warm crusty sourdough all by yourself.
5. I've been smoking since I was fifteen, and dammit, I'm gonna keep doing it!
