In honor of today's game
I was watching a Red Sox-Yankees games last season and talking to my mom on the phone. The worst word I have ever heard her say is "crud," and she was arguing that you don't have to use profanity to get your point across. So I resisted the urge to call Roger Clemens a jackass and instead said "That fat, overrated, overpaid turncoat is pitching for them." My mom liked this description so much that she repeated it to my dad, who said "Who, Clemens?" Hee!
I hope so much that we don't let him get win #300 from us.
If anyone doesn't understand the hatred Red Sox fans feel for the guy who won a bunch of Cy Youngs with us, Bill Simmons explains it better than I ever could.

I was actually at Fenway for the first game Clemens pitched against the Bosox as a Yankee. I've really lost all other interest in baseball but having been a Red Sox fan forever, I'm still in the habit of hating the Yankees :)

Yay Red Sox fans! I just *knew* you were a right-thinking person. :-)
LOL @ that article
and
(By the way, if you're keeping track, Clemens was officially a quitter, a cheater, a fibber and a traitor at this point).
Simmons explained Red Sox fans' view of Clemens eloquently.
