Painful, awful, bad, wrong, interminable baseball game. Sorry, Bronson. If you lose the cornrows, though, I might reconsider.
The day started off well, actually, and ended with fun. I was working on the fire spirit story and realized that I had been brilliant without knowing it. :-) My archaeologist character has a mentor who has come along on the dig as his last adventure. Early on, it popped into my head that he was dying. When I have these random feelings about my characters, I try to go with them. Yesterday I realized that I could help the mentor and solve the biggest dilemma in the story at the same time. Go me!
zinnea came over to take kitty pictures. They turned out to be mostly Anya, Lewis-Bird, and Spike pictures. Everyone else was hiding, except for when Sterling's curiosity would get the better of her skittishness. But she did see Luna! Luna is the scaredy cat whose existence most of my friends doubt. But I swear she lives here! We ended up watching the Sox game. O the pain. As Zee said, it was so bad that we gave up around the 8th inning and went in search of hard liquor. We got whisky at Hattie's in Ballard. But they had the game on. And like an idiot, I watched it until the bitter end. And like an idiot, I'll watch today too.
Then we went questing for interesting things and cute people. U District, no luck. Bad Juju, no hotties. Back to Ballard. Nada. So we cursed fate and went for late-night food at Beth's. They were so slow serving us that they gave me sprinkles on my pancakes. Yay sprinkles! It's always fun to hang out with Zee even if we don't find hotties. We really did listen to that AB CD about 95 times. :-)
I'm trying to decide if I want to go back to Ballard and buy a lovely dress I saw while we were wandering last night.
