Plot bunnies and other critters

darklunaMore on the plot bunny: See, what if it were a just slightly alternate universe, where Voldemort is stronger than in canon, but got that strength through a more drastic kind of dark magic wherein every so often he has to sacrifice one of his followers. And he can't cheat and kill a random person; it has to be one of his. The more I think about it, the more the differences seem pretty minor; this seems to work the same way as magic actually does in the Potterverse. I don't want to write this; I want to write my stuff, but it's the kind of idea that's going to start leaking out my fingers pretty soon anyway. AUGH.
Been working most of the weekend, getting caught up on the small backlog Job #1 had accumulated. I think I may go walk the lake this afternoon after everything is done.

zinnea and I went to see the band with the cute bassist, but for some reason he had stopped doing it for me. (The Futurama geek in me wants to say, "He just didn't Roger my Hammerstein anymore." :-)) So we took off and went to see the wonderful Sexy American Girlfriend.
ChefBoy just got a cell phone with text messaging, and he keeps sending me notes. It's a definite case of New Toy Syndrome.
