Good music alert for Seattleites!

One of my favorite should-be-billionaires bands, Amelia, is playing at Folklife on Monday. Their music is lovely. It feels very southwestern to me - desert imagery, kind of languid pace, some cool lazy slide guitar. Teisha has a gorgeous voice. You Seattle folk should check them out! I'm very excited about getting to see them.

It's been very hot here. Too hot to cook. Almost too hot to eat. Yesterday after work I just lazed around guzzling water.

I was going to go to Folklife today, but I have writing that must get done, and I'm a wimp when it comes to heat. But I may go on Monday, and if I do I'll check Amelia out.

And cooking is just wrong, right now. I've been grazing on fruit, cheese, and randomly-grabbed handfuls of slightly melty chocolate chips...
