Temptation

So I'm writing merrily along on my archaeology story. Kaveh, the fire spirit, has been influencing the dreams of Lexie, the archaeologist, in the hope that giving her a deeper understanding of the city will convince her to leave it alone. (As its guardian, he believes that once it's excavated, it will effectively be destroyed, and he'll die.)
So, late in the story, Lexie is dreaming about when the city got lost from recorded history, which is not something Kaveh intended her to see. He's in tune with her thoughts and gets caught up in the nightmare as well. She wakes up, and they talk. I think, "Yay! Finally time for the love scene!"
Then I think, "Oh, crap. I'm in the wrong point of view."
At this point I become very tempted just to switch mid-scene to keep the narrative flowing, and my devil and angel pop up on each shoulder, as is their wont.
Alan Rickman, as Metatron: Now, Ellie, don't do anything you'll regret later.
Mike Ness, perched on an amp: Aww, go for it! It'll be fun!
Alan: You know that random point-of-view shifts are the path to the dark side.
Ness: But it'll make your life soooo much easier. And everyone's doin' it!
Alan: Writing sins are a tricky business. Once you get permissive toward a little head-hopping, who knows what atrocities you might commit later on?
Ness: Sinning? All good. Don't listen to that prude.
Me: *biffs both of them off my shoulders, sighs, and inserts scene break to change POV properly*
(One begins to understand why I have a little problem with vice. Good is good and all, but evil has a guitar.)
