I was up 'til 3 AM watching Pride & Prejudice (the Colin-Firth-jumping-in-the-lake one). It was delightful. Assuming I wasn't the last woman on earth to watch it, and assuming some of the remaining stragglers are reading this, I highly recommend it.

It took me a long time to get to sleep because my mind was running around completing my Pansy Parkinson costume. It did occur to me, usefully, that the sort of robe one wears at graduation would be ideal for a Hogwarts robe if I just sewed some green lining into the sleeves and hood.

Oh, and I told myself I would quit smoking after the ALDS, and so I have.

Congrats on your smoking-quitting!! Go go will power! :-) And I'm very sorry about your BoSox. On the up side, the Yankees got schooled by a rally monkey!

I may be the last woman on earth to not see this. My best friend, my mother-in-law, my cousin all swear by this movie as their all-time favorite. I love the book and adore Colin Firth. And yet I've never taken the time to watch it. Odd. Maybe one winter afternoon coming up ...

At least if your boys win it all this year, my happiness for you will be entirely untainted. :-)

I don't know ... my distrust for Jason Isringhausen is palpable. Even if we WERE to win it all, I doubt I'd be able to enjoy it, so sentenced to an early grave would I be from the near-heart-attacks the man gives me every time he comes in to "close."

Oh, I shouldn't laugh, but so sentenced to an early grave would I be tickles my funny bone. I have felt the pain of an unreliable closer. I used to yell at Ugueth Urbina to just give up the home run to the first batter so it would at least be a solo shot.

just in case you're the last person to know this, I loathe Jane Austen's books. Oddly enough, though, one of my favorite mystery series features Jane as a sleuth.

Good for you on the not smoking thing, stick with it.

I think I did know that. Did I follow up learning it by saying you need to read Japser Fforde's books if you haven't already? :)

Good for you on the not smoking thing, stick with it.

Thanks!
