Was that not exactly the exasperated, affectionate, "I can't take you anywhere" kind of tone that you can only achieve when you've been with your partner a really long time? They are OMG!So!Married!

I did notice that, but I thought it was funnier when Cowell yelled at Paula to shut up. That's the "I'm sick of you and I hate you for real" tone.
