Mar. 13th, 2005 11:17 amI have really tidy handwriting in English, but my handwriting in Japanese has got to be in the top 10 of Worst Ever.
Here is how I read Japanese: "Ooh, that's an A, I know that one. OK, that's a RI. That's a KA. No, it has those little dots, so it's a GA. That's TO plus U. A-RI-GA-TO-U! I made a word!" *victory dance*
This is just Hiragana, too. Kanji will probably make my head asplode. And I'm not even going to attempt to learn to write it. That's getting into the territory of drawing, and I'm so awful at drawing that I can barely do stick figures.
P.S. I know enough Hiragana now to write TA-KO, which means... octopus!
