I am having title angst with the Matt x Near WIP that's trying its darndest to become epic (3000 words and not remotely done, what the crap). I might just go back to "Lullaby for a Stormy Night," which is what it was called, like, eight titles ago.

"You & Me & the Devil Makes Three" does make me literally LOL every time, though.

If I ever write M/M/N threesome!fic, it cannot possibly be called anything but "Special Topics in Calamity Physics"; I don't care that someone already used that title perfectly for a novel.

Matt/Near is on my list of pairings, because it's.... cute. D: It's Matt keeping the closest thing to Mello with him, and Near letting it happen. At least, that's how it is when I picture them. I don't know how you do it. XD But I would like to read it.

I want to do a threesome with those three so very badly. Seriously. I mean, it doesn't even have to be sex. I just want all three of them together.

It's a bit like that when I write them. It's like: Matt is kind of a soft touch anyway, and he knows Mello gets something he needs from the both of them, so he kind of gravitates to Near after Mello leaves. And poor Near, he's always just a little clueless; I almost feel bad when my fic with him in it turns naughty. :-) I'll definitely post it when it's presentable.

Yeah, I see it like that. I don't think he'd be the kind who'd be jealous of Mello having Near; as long as he's able to stay by Mello. Not in the pansy-ass I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YOU ;-; way, but the "I love you, I really do, so as long as I can see you, it's good" way. And so I can definitely see him getting closer to Near with Mello gone.
Also. A little bit clueless Near? YES.

Exactly. In my own personal fanon, Matt even sometimes wishes they'd just fuck each other already, 'cause at least then he might get a couple of days of peace and quiet. :D

Yeah, it's a problem, even if you assume L visited Wammy's House sometimes after leaving. The most I've ever actually written has been giving Mello an unrequited crush. I've seen people not mention ages at all, just do a kind of: *waving hands* "Shazam, everyone's legal." :-)
