I need to find someone who's a better artist than I am. (In other words, someone whose people aren't stick figures.) I got an idea a while ago about designing tarot cards for the post-apocalyptic fairy tale. I only have nine major arcana, though. I don't know what they'll be good for, but I felt that I had to write them down, so they must be good for something. It's one of those cases where I'm not quite sure what my brain is up to yet.
So I made a list the other day: The Tower, The Factory, The Bridge, The Anchor, The Wizard, The Circle, The Storyteller, The Scavengers, The City.
They have meanings, but as I'm not sure what they're for yet and doubt anyone cares, I'll just skip those. :)
Then I found an old list I had forgotten I made and saw that The Tower and The Bridge have switched meanings. Weird. (My Tower is not the struck-by-lightning one in normal tarot decks; it's actually a positive card.)
As always when I think about tarot and this story, I'm struck by how much Valor looks like the boy on the Rider-Waite four of Cups. It might be the expression.
