The kittens were such sweeties! They're a brother and sister, five weeks old, all goofy and awkward with their legs and tails. They tumble over stuff a lot. They had just eaten and had fat tummies, and were busy playing. They're very social for kittens whose mom was a trapped feral cat.
I wanted to go hurt the original foster woman, though. She took in these two because she had a cat who was nursing, and somehow ringworm got into their house (the kittens are fine, though), and this woman had the mom cat put to sleep. Some people, I swear, should not be allowed to care for anything. I really, really hope it was one of those cases where the vet said "Yeah, OK, lady, I'll put her down" and then secretly cured the mom and found a better home for her. I've heard of this happening, so maybe! I'm glad the kittens got rescued at least and have a nice foster home now!
