LJ provides a useful timewaster when I'm sitting here waiting for files to transfer for work. :-)

No second job yet, but I'm still looking. My regular job has calmed down quite a bit since the start of the month, when I had three books going out in the space of 8 days. Those brief spates of hellish activity are worth it, though, 'cause my boss rewards me in Amazon gift certificates. I'm getting really good at spending almost exactly what she sends me.

Is it just me, or is Johnny Depp way too hot to play Willy Wonka? I dread the Sues that will invade that fandom once the movie comes out. Dread.

I want Photoshop because I need to make an Inuyasha icon. It'll be a shot of either Yura from the second or so episode, or maybe Naraku, and will say: "Attention demons: You must be at least this hot to be a villain." I don't have the technology for lettering as little as that needs to be. (Clearly, Sesshoumaru would be the best choice, but half my Inuyasha icons are of him already.)

Heh. Maybe if you made frequent mention of the fact that he's like 41 years old that would shut them up. *g*

I've seen people old enough to know better write some horrible Mary Sues, but y'know, for the most part, that would have desired effect of making the fanbrats go "omg 41 is liek anceint!!" :-)

I'm more troubled by how I don't know if I'll be able to enjoy the movie. The whole idea of Willy Wonka being the king of the hotties is weird and disturbing.

If you think of Willy Wonka in the book and imagine being attracted to him, I agree that's pretty darn disturbing.

But I'm just imaging Johnny Depp getting to be silly and quirky and slightly wicked, and yum! I see a lot of potential for the film being very fun to watch.
