So, so sleepy! Stayed up late playing, then couldn't sleep once I got in bed. :( And the proofreader on one of my books did about 400 pages over the weekend, which I now have to look at.

But I can has bubble tea, hurrah! My little kit arrived! (Those of you who've been around a while know that my love for things that come in little kits will never die.) I have taro, honeydew, papaya, kiwi, and peach. And the straws I got are purple!

Aw. The closest place for me to buy it is Nashville, so I had to get my own!

They make nifty, but crazy expensive, machines for shaking everything up, and for sealing the cups with plastic, which I crave. Alas, I could only spring for tea powders, a shaker, tapiocas, and straws.

Bubble tea! Mmmmm, good stuff. I have a shaker and straws... I don't think I have any cups, though, and I know I don't have any pearls or mix.

So I got pearls, straws, and milk tea mix from Uwajimaya (I've got the advantage on you there) but I'm unsatisfied with the results. The pearls have to be boiled and they don't have any sweet flavor. How did your mail order pearls turn out?

Hey you! Ohhh, I miss Uwajimaya.

The mail-order pearls had to be boiled too, and they aren't pre-sweetened. You need to soak them a simple syrup, or you can use honey, which is what I did, and it worked fine.
